Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is an area of vital importance and intense focus for Dutch Foundations.
As a ground engineering company, we are highly aware of the inherent dangers that exist on any construction site. Consequently, we are committed to provide safe project sites for our employees, subcontractors and overall stakeholder.
This policy reflects our commitment to ensuring that health and safety at work is paramount to the business and that effective health and safety actively contributes to our success.
To achieve this, we will:
Ensure that all our employees and stakeholders have an awareness and understanding of health and safety hazards and risks that affect our business
Ensure our work activities comply with all local and international OHS regulations to which we subscribe to as well as those established by our clients
Adopt procedures that comply with the standards of OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Continuously instruct and train our employees on the health and safety issues affecting them and the safe working practices that should be followed
Undertake frequent site visits by senior management to ensure that health and safety issues are identified, assessed and managed
Assess the risks associated with health and safety hazards in the workplace; and accordingly inform our employees on how they affect their work
Take action to prevent, reduce, control risks to an acceptable level and reduce the potential for incidents and accident We will require our subcontractors and stakeholders to identify health and safety risks that may impact on our work activities
Report and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to drive improvement in our health and safety management
Provide First Aid and basic Emergency response facilities and training at project sites, offices and employee accommodation
Provide Personal Protective Equipment to employees and enforce its use
We will periodically review this policy to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate for our company.
