Worker Welfare
Worker Welfare is a key area of focus for Dutch Foundations. We believe that dignified living and working conditions, social and economic well-being of the employees are essential to unlocking human potential.
We acknowledge our responsibility for advancing worker welfare standards wherever we operate, and we believe it is aligned with our mission.
We are committed to ensuring that the health, safety, welfare, and dignity of workers is considered in all areas of our operation
To achieve this, we will:
Comply and stay current with national legislation
Support initiatives such as Fair Labour Standards and mandatory standards in construction
Ensure fair and free recruitment
Ensure that workers understand the terms and conditions of their employment
Prohibit all forms of illegal discrimination and provide equal and fair treatment to all employees based on merit
Assess the risks associated with health and safety hazards in the workplace; and accordingly inform our employees on how they affect their work
Promote a just, fair and harassment free workplace for all
Pay employees’ wages and benefits in time and in full
Provide a safe and healthy working and living environment
Provide a mechanism for reporting welfare grievances and procedures for remediation
Ensure that bonded, indentured, forced, or child labour is not used
Continuously train, communicate and raise awareness of our worker welfare policy to our employees, customers and other stakeholders
Require our subcontractors and suppliers to share our commitment by making our worker welfare policy an integral component of their operations
Incorporate our worker welfare principles in all business operations with a focus on continual improvement
We will review our Worker Welfare Policy annually to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the business and environment in which we operate.
