Abu Dhabi, UAE – May 15th, 2025 – Dutch Foundations is proud to announce that it has been awarded the piling works package for the prestigious Ruwais LNG Project by the TJN Ruwais JV, a Joint Venture (JV) formed by Technip Energies, JGC Corporation, and NMDC Energy.
Located in Al Ruwais Industrial City, Abu Dhabi, the Ruwais LNG project is set to become the first LNG export facility in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to run on clean power, making it one of the lowest-carbon intensity LNG plants in the world. This landmark project will significantly expand ADNOC’s LNG production capacity, with two natural gas liquefaction trains delivering a total output of 9.6 million tons per annum (Mtpa). The facility will utilize electric-driven motors instead of conventional gas turbines and will be powered by nuclear energy.
As a key local partner, Dutch Foundations will undertake the execution of piling works for the project’s critical infrastructure, contributing to the civil foundation scope necessary for plant construction. This milestone reinforces Dutch Foundations’ commitment to supporting the UAE’s ambitious energy transition goals and further cements its reputation as a trusted specialist in deep foundation solutions.
Dutch Foundations’ construction activities commenced in February 2025 with piling works completion targeted in mid-2026.
