Appointment extends Dutch Foundations’ long-standing relationship with Shamal Holding, adding another landmark Dubai project to its regional portfolio
DUBAI, UAE — JULY 29th, 2026 — Dutch Foundations, a leading regional specialist contractor in ground engineering and foundation construction — operating in Dubai as Dutch Europe Piling & Foundations Contracting LLC — today announced its appointment by Shamal Holding, a Dubai-based diversified investment firm, to deliver the full foundation package for The Dubai Beach EDITION Hotel and Residences, a landmark beachfront resort and branded residences development at Dubai Harbour.
The scope of works awarded to Dutch Foundations spans enabling works, piling and shoring, forming the structural foundation package that will underpin the development ahead of its main construction phase.
The appointment marks the latest collaboration between Dutch Foundations and Shamal, building on the contractor’s existing track record delivering specialist foundation and ground engineering works across the developer’s portfolio of large-scale projects in the UAE. Dutch Foundations previously delivered foundation works on the Dubai Harbour Residences, located in close proximity to The Dubai Beach EDITION site, giving the team valuable site and ground-condition insight ahead of this latest appointment.
Developed by H&H and designed by RSHP (Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners), The Dubai Beach EDITION is scheduled for completion in 2029. The project features the first EDITION Branded Residences in the Middle East and the brand’s first beachfront resort in the UAE comprising 165 private homes across four low-rise pavilion buildings alongside a 185 rooms and suites, all set within Dubai Harbour’s seafront district.
